A Dress Ring or Cocktail Ring in my book is a ring that is not an Engagement, Wedding or Eternity Ring. History would say that they are big, luxurious rings, usually set with precious gemstones. They are designed to attract attention and admiration. One could say they are not for everyday wear but then again, what did 'one' know?
